Melmalaiyanur angalamman is a Hindu temple located in the village of Melmalaiyanur in the Viluppuram district of Tamil Nadu, India. The temple is dedicated to the goddess Angalamman, who is believed to be a fierce form of the Hindu goddess Kali. The word “Angalamman” means “the guardian deity who protects her devotees from evil forces”.
The temple is one of the most popular shrines in the region and is visited by thousands of devotees every year. The annual festival of Angalamman, known as Angalamman Thiruvizha, is celebrated with great fervor and attracts a large number of pilgrims from all over the state.
